Slopes of Signal Hill

This garden was carefully terraced using walls of rock excavated from the site to prevent erosion and create a set of tiered platforms linking the living space with the wild hillside behind. Care was taken to make the walls as unobtrusive as possible, after which a hardy, waterwise mix of exotic, perennial grasses mixed with aromatic fynbos buchus and pelargoniums create a garden that is not only visually appealing but also very aromatic.
