Camps Bay Villa

The major reworking of this site to create a multi level home for international clients saw the creation of an exemplary modern space by GSQUARED architects centered around a garden space creating a green heart to this home. Anchored by the huge Frangipani tree which creates a focal point viewed from 3 sides and 3 levels, the simple planting plan of contrasting foliage types with an accent on large leaf shapes and colour and textural contrast creates a modern garden that provides interest through all the seasons with minimal maintenance. Large stone pavers link to the architectural use of stone on the walls, the informal planting style contrasts to the simple planes and major glass elements, while of particular interest are the multi-storey vertical gardens that greatly expand the planted areas available.
